Chainlink Price Spikes Above $7 While Bitcoin Sinks Below $20,000

Among other investment assets, cryptocurrency is prominent when it comes to volatility in prices, including altcoins such as Chainlink. While an uptrend matters a lot to daily traders, dipping could be favorable for accumulation for long-term investment. The crypto market over the weekend saw slight positive progress in the prices of most tokens. The past week was downward, but this week could bring more hope. General analysis on a 24-hour scale for most altcoins shows that last Sunday came with a commendable trend. The majority of the tokens displayed significant progress in an uptrend. Chainlink native token, LINK, was at the forefront, among others. After moving to the $19,000 region, BTC stalled on the level through the weekend. Chainlink Leads As The Top Performer The crypto market witnessed a positive turnaround, especially with the price performance of the altcoins. The total market cap has stalled with the outcome without making another drop. The value is currently around the $950 billion level. LINK, the native coin of the leads as the best performer among the altcoins. The token increased by above 5% in the early hours of trading today with an approximate price of $8. For Ethereum, there is a progressive reclaiming from its 20% post-merger drop. ETH swung into the green as the price crossed the $1,300 level. Other altcoins increased in their values. These include Solana (SOL) and Shiba Inu (SHIB), which rose slightly. However, for Cardano (ADA), the price stalled on a particular level despite the recent launch of the Vasil Upgrade. Some crypto assets with a slight dip include Polkadot, Ripple, Polygon, Binance Coin, Dogecoin, Tron, and Avalanche. BTC Stagnates At Around $19,000 The performance of Bitcoin over the past week has not been quite impressive. However, it is notable that before the US Federal Reserve’s rate increase, BTC made an upward jump. The token surged from $18,300 to around $20,000. However, its sustainability was short-lived. The announcement of the 75 bps rise in interest rates caused a drastic drop in the price of BTC. The primary crypto asset lost almost $2,000 in value within hours following the announcement. Bitcoin plummeted to a new 3-month low of $18,100. The crypto market was thrown into another panic as the selling pressure increased. But after a few days, the price of BTC reclaimed slightly and crawled to the $19,000 level. Then, as the market encountered more bulls, Bitcoin climbed up to $19,500 through the trading hours between last Sunday and today. Glassnode: Bitcoin Is Currently In “Bear To Bull” Transition Period

Data from Glassnode suggests Bitcoin is currently in the historical bear market to bull market transition period. Bitcoin Correlation Between Price And Supply In Profit Has Recently Been Below 0.75 As per a recent report by Glassnode, the BTC correlation between the price and the supply in profit generally observes multiple drops below 0.75 during transitional periods. The “supply in profit” is an indicator that measures the percentage of the total Bitcoin supply that’s holding some profit right now. The metric works by looking at the on-chain history of each coin to see what price it was last moved at. If this previous selling price is less than the current BTC value for any coin, then that particular coin has some unrealized profits at the moment. Now, here is a chart that shows the trend in this Bitcoin correlation over the history of the crypto: The value of the metric has been low multiple times in recent days | Source: Glassnode’s Market Pulse Whenever the correlation is positive, it means the price and the supply in profit are both moving in the same direction. On the other hand, negative values imply they are going opposite ways. As you can see in the above graph, Bitcoin has historically had values above 0.9 for a majority of the time during each of the previous price cycles. However, during periods of transition between bull markets and bear markets (as well as vice versa), the indicator usually observes multiple drops below 0.75. According to the report, these deviations occur in the case of bear to bull transitions because at late bear market stages, sellers turn exhausted while the remaining investors become reluctant to move their funds out of frustration, thus decreasing the correlation between price and supply in profit. Recently, the indicator has observed multiple plunges below the 0.75 threshold, suggesting that Bitcoin is currently in the historical bear to bull transition zone. BTC Price At the time of writing, Bitcoin’s price floats around $19.1k, down 4% in the last seven days. Over the past month, the crypto has lost 10% in value. Shiba Inu Adds Nearly 36,000 Holders Since June Despite Crypto Market Turmoil

The price trend of Shiba Inu has been following the rest of the cryptocurrency market and remains negative. Notably, SHIB is still seeking to reclaim the high points it reached last year, when the value and popularity of the meme coin surged. As of this writing, SHIB is trading at $0.00001145, down 4.5% in the last seven days, data from Coingecko show, Sunday. Despite the crypto market’s sluggish condition, a portion of the dog-themed coin’s investors are optimistic that the asset will recover and are boosting their coin purchases while ignoring the market’s weakness. According to data from CoinMarketCap, as of September 24, SHIB has 1,226,031 holding addresses, representing an increase of around 35,835 new holdings over the course of three months. The new holders represent a 3% increase from the 1,190,195 who were registered on June 26. Related Reading: Dogecoin (DOGE) Is On Top Of Whales’ Menu – Here’s Why Shiba Inu: Increasing Use Case In addition to the prospect that new SHIB holders may wager on the coin’s appreciation, investors are likely drawn by SHIB’s rising utility. It is worth mentioning that interest in meme-based cryptocurrencies waned as a result of unfavorable publicity around the coins’ supposed lack of utility. Since June, Shiba Inu’s value has been on a roller-coaster ride, but the price has mostly remained low. The coin’s three-month high price was $0.000017 on August 15, and as of the time of writing, it had gained about 5% in the last 24 hours. Previously, the majority of retail investors liquidated around the price and then sought entry points as the memetoken approached $0.00001. Due to the massive concentration of tokens in the hands of small and medium-sized whales, Shiba Inu faces a significant increase in selling pressure whenever it succeeds to breach past local resistance barriers. Holding On To The Meme Coin Meanwhile, around 30% of SHIB investors have held the asset for more than a year, according to statistics from Into The Block. Despite the ongoing bear market, investors have generally abstained from disposing of their coins. These holders are fostering a bullish mood among investors while aiming to eliminate SHIB as a quick-profit asset. As of the time of writing, the trading volume of Shiba Inu is still declining, hence the token’s volatility remains high. The decline in trade volume is unfavorable for a coin that heavily depends on speculative appeal. As the number of SHIB holders increases, it appears that interest in the coin is waning. Google Trends data indicates that global searches for the keyword “Shiba Inu” decreased to their lowest level in the past 12 months, suggesting that SHIB could be losing its most avid fans.
